TERMS OF SERVICE
Violations of rules and regulations may lead to the issuance of a citation or immediate cancellation of stay and ejection from the campground without refund.
Campground Terms of Service
Before you book your stay at our campground, we kindly request that you carefully read and agree to the following Terms of Service. By using our facilities and services, you acknowledge your acceptance of these terms. These terms are designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests.
Cancellation Policy
All reservations are subject to a 10% rebooking fee. We have a 14-day cancellation policy. If you are unable to stay any or all of the days you reserved with us you must reschedule or cancel 14 days prior to your date of arrival to receive a full refund (minus a 10% booking fee). Cancellations made with less than 14 days prior notice will forfeit the full reservation fee.
We reserve the right to make reserved sites available to other guests if the original reservation holder has not arrived by 10:00pm on their check-in date. If you need to adjust your arrival date please contact us in advance so we may hold your campsite or transfer your reservation to another campsite. All delayed check-in for reservations will be honored with advance notice. Management reserves the right to transfer reservations to another comparable site for any reason.
Reservation and Check-In:
Reservations made in advance can be completed through our online reservation system found at www.riverranchcampgrounds.com
Check-in time is between 2:00pm and 9:00pm
Check-out time is by 12:00noon
Campers must present a valid ID and booking confirmation upon check-in.
If the number of guests and/or cars exceeds your original booking please be prepared to pay an additional fee of $10 per additional guest/ per night and $10 per additional car/per night (cash only)
Campsite Use and Occupancy:
Campsites are allocated based on the selections at the time of reservation. Campers must use only their designated site. Maximum occupancy per campsite is detailed in your booking confirmation. Additional campers may be added for a fee upon arrival pending the reserved site has available capacity. All fees paid on arrival will be due in cash only.
Unauthorized subletting or transfer of campsites to third parties is strictly prohibited.

Restrooms:
We have 3 flushing toilets including a handicap accessible restroom and 4 shower stalls with hot water. Sanitary wipes (flushable or otherwise) are not septic safe and are therefore restricted from use in our restroom facilities. Toilet paper and handsoap are provided in all restroom facilities within our campgrounds. Additional restrooms are located throughout the campgrounds for your convenience and include vault toilets and portable restrooms. Our portables are pumped weekly and all include handwashing stations.

Amenities:
River Ranch Campgrounds is proud to be a minimally developed, dry camping site which boasts natural beauty in the Stanislaus National Forest. We provide the following amenities: semi-developed internal access roads (dirt, gravel), semi-developed camp sites (minimally raked and cleared), central flushing toilets and heated showers (when available), portable toilets located throughout the campgrounds and vault toilets located within the "Hacienda" section. Additional amenities vary by site but may include water spigots, steel fire pits and picnic tables. Availability of any of the amenities listed above can not be guaranteed.
Waste Management:
We are a pack it in, pack it out campground. Leave no trace - take all personal belongings and trash with you upon departure. Garbage or waste left behind in your site will incur a minimum cleaning fee of $50.
Drinking Water:
All water within the campgrounds is labeled Non-Potable. Our permit for water collection does not allow for us to treat or filter the water for drinking purposes. Regardless of purity/water quality we are unable to be considered for potable water. Guests should plan for bringing their own drinking water or filtering/purifying campground water at their discretion.
Campground Rules and Regulations:
Campers must follow all posted campground rules and regulations.
Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 7:00am. During this time, all guests must keep noise levels to a minimum.
We are a family friendly camping in nature experience. Any guests wishing to be loud, rowdy or unruly should book elsewhere, we are not for you!
Respect nature and wildlife. Do not disturb or harm animals or plants.
Observe all posted speed limits and traffic signs within the campground.
Seasonal fruits and edible plants may be enjoyed at the camper’s discretion. Please do not deplete our ferns, blackberries, apples, pears… Take some and leave some!

Pets:
Pets are permitted within the campgrounds under the following conditions: All pets must remain on leash and under supervision of their owners at all times. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and properly disposing of waste. Aggressive dogs or those determined to be a nuisance due to barking, failure to remain on leash or other undesired behaviors will result in dismissal from the campgrounds.
No Hunting, No Shooting!
The campground is a safe haven for all wildlife and no hunting or shooting with exception of legal fishing will be permitted.
Campfire Safety:
Campfires are permitted only in designated fire pits or grills.
Never leave fires unattended, and ensure they are fully extinguished before leaving the site.
Do not start a fire during windy conditions or when a fire ban is in effect.
Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby to extinguish the fire if necessary.
Alcohol and Substance Use:
Consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed within legal limits and at your own risk.
The use of illegal drugs or substances is strictly prohibited within the campground.
Smoking in or near our central bathhouse is prohibited.
Liability and Responsibility:
Campers assume full responsibility for their personal belongings and equipment.
River Ranch Campgrounds is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or accident that may occur during your stay.
Emergencies:
In case of emergencies, contact the campground management at the main house or dial 911 immediately.
Campsite Relocation or Cancellation by Management:
In the case of severe weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that may compromise camper safety, River Ranch Campgrounds reserves the right to relocate campers to safer areas within the campground or, if necessary, to cancel the reservation.
In the event of a reservation cancellation by River Ranch Campgrounds, a full refund or rescheduling option will be provided, subject to our refund policy.

Emergency Preparedness:
Campers should be prepared for emergencies by having essential supplies such as first aid kits, flashlights, batteries, and emergency contact information readily available.
Familiarize yourself with the campground's emergency procedures and evacuation routes upon arrival.
Communication during Emergencies:
In the event of severe weather or an emergency situation, River Ranch Campgrounds will make reasonable efforts to communicate safety instructions and updates to all campers.
Campers are encouraged to stay informed about changing weather conditions and any safety announcements made by campground staff.
Please carefully read and acknowledge the following provisions related to weather and acts of God:
Weather Conditions:
Camping involves exposure to the elements, including adverse weather conditions. Campers are responsible for monitoring weather forecasts and planning accordingly. River Ranch Campgrounds does not guarantee favorable weather conditions during your stay. In the event of inclement weather, it is the camper's responsibility to take appropriate safety precautions, such as securing tents and personal belongings.
Natural Disasters and Acts of God:
River Ranch Campgrounds shall not be held liable for any disruptions, injuries, damages, or losses resulting from natural disasters, acts of God, or unforeseen events.
In the event of a natural disaster or act of God, campers are encouraged to follow evacuation or safety protocols as directed by campground staff or local authorities.
Refunds and Compensation:
In the event of a cancellation or disruption due to severe weather or an act of God, any refund or compensation will be governed by our refund policy, as outlined in the general Terms of Service.
By acknowledging these provisions, you understand and accept the inherent risks associated with camping, including exposure to weather conditions and the possibility of unforeseen events. While River Ranch Campgrounds strives to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers, we cannot control weather or acts of God. Campers are urged to exercise caution, be prepared, and prioritize safety during their stay.

Campground Management:
Management reserves the right to refuse service or terminate stays for anyone not complying with these terms or causing disturbances to others.

Campground Boundaries:
Please be mindful of signs indicating 'Private Property', 'Area Closed', 'Road Closed' and avoid entering these areas. Hiking up river past the CottonWood Rd bridge requires passing through private property. Many signs are posted to avoid accidental non-compliance.
Updates to Terms:
River Ranch Campgrounds may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be available on our website or at the campground office.
By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the rules and regulations governing your stay at River Ranch Campgrounds.
